Suspended from Byrne Forum

So I got suspended from the John Byrne forum yesterday. I pointed out something in his artwork that he criticized another artist for doing and he rebutted me with why I was wrong and I rebutted him with why I think he was wrong (we both showed examples). Anyhow he then said he was "bored" and I tried to respond but found out that I was suspended. The owner of the art said he doesn't care because he loves the piece. In my initial post I said the piece is cool. Hell I like it. My point was we all make mistakes as artists and not one of us is perfect. Byrne has always got to be right period. Obviously if you disagree you get banned from the board, oh well life goes on.

Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters! (TOM)

I'm a little late with this pimp-action, and admittedly have been slacking off on this blog. But the first issue of Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters is now on the stands (and has been for about a week)! Created by Don Chin, written by Keith Champagne, drawn by me, colored by Moose Baumann, and published by Dynamite Entertainment! Please go pick it up and let us know your thoughts, either here or by email, on Keith's blog, or on the Dynamite forums. Your support is appreciated and every issue sold helps us to do more! I am currently on #3 right now, and I will say that every issue is wackier than the last! If you're willing to take a break from the typical superhero genre and are just looking for a fun escape, we won't disappoint!

Here's the black and white art to Tom's cover to Hamsters #2. I think he banged this one out of the park, same way he's been hitting homerun after homerun on the interiors. ARBBH is really going to be Tom's coming out party...and for once, I don't mean he'll be coming out of the closet.

Holy Crap it's been awhile!

Yeah, I've been absent from here for a long time it feels like. I've been busy working and other stuff. Just finished up doing 11 pages of pencils for The All New Atom #18.
Our very own Keith Champagne is doing the inks.

Anyhow time for me to post up some art here like I said I would.

E-man is one of my all time favorite characters and here is a quickie drawing I whipped up of him a little while back.

Because I seem to be too dumb to make links active in the body of a post, anyone that wants to check it out will have to cut and paste.

Having a lot of fun writing this book. It's a great chance to write something silly, yet with a lot of heart underneath. Tom has been waiting a long time for a chance to really dig in and do the complete art on a project and he's going to open a lot of people's eyes on this one.

I finally got some work cleared up and was able to get to draw my contribution to the Mike Wieringo tribute book. As I was working on it I had some fond memories of Mike.

Sketch #9: Superman/Wonder Woman

Hey All!

This is a drawing I did for a friend of mines wedding that is coming up in a few short weeks.

I've been pretty busy with work, wrapping up the last issue of Storm Watch PHD.

This past week was also very cool for me because I got to sit in and help out on my friend's radio show. It's The Candy and Potter show and is on 107.9 the link here in Charlotte from 10am-2pm. I was in there this past Mon, Tues, and Wed screening calls and chiming into the conversation whenever I had a chance. Great fun!
